Running Bellbowrie Hockey Club requires lots of effort from lots of volunteers. BHC recognises that attracting and maintaining quality players, coaches and volunteers requires a well managed club...a club that supports its officials and volunteers and has a focus for development activities and retaining club members. BHC Management & Administration Structure |
|
This management and volunteer structure is based on recommendations made by Vicky Roofayel (RSC Consulting) who was commissioned to assist us with Modernising our Governance Structure and providing strategic focus for development activities over the coming years. With $7,600 grant funding from Brisbane City Council, through the Community Grants Program 2008/09, Vicky prepared the following documents to help guide our activities over the coming years: · A 2009-2012 Planning Report and · A tailored Strategic Development Plan 2010-2012 . |

BHC prepares coach resource folders, containing drills ideas and basic coaching information for all junior coaches. In addition to the rep coach talks held by IHA (which anyone’s welcome to attend) BHC supports attendance at development sessions to talk about game strategy, skills and our “back to basics” approach to hockey. For more information please contact a committee member and refer to BHC’s Coach and Manager Induction information on our forms and policies page. |

BHC aims to increase the number of competent umpires within IHA by participating in the IHA umpire mentor programs. All players are encouraged to participate in umpiring sessions and rules examinations to improve their knowledge and appreciation of hockey. Contact our Secretary for more information. Juniors participating in the IHA umpire clinics during 2009 received a free umpiring pack including whistle, cards and rule book, thanks to F-H-E Raceview store sponsorship. |
