BHC’s fee structure relies on fundraising efforts (generally around $5000-8000/year). In 2010 we have incorporated recommendations of the 2009 Strategic Planning Project and are giving all members the option of participating in fundraising and volunteering activities OR paying a higher fee contribution in 2010. The fundraising and volunteer component of your fees helps to keep our fees reasonable and also helps to reward the tremendous efforts of those club members who contribute to the running of our club. Our Forms and Admin Page contains further details on how you can reduce your fees by volunteering for one of the many Functional Roles. At the beginning of each year a schedule of fundraising events is planned around our playing calendar. If you have any great ideas, or would like to get involved in planning a fundraiser please contact a committee member. |

In 2009 around 40 club members raised almost $8,000 through a few fun events (check the pie chart below). Thankyou Karen Dolan for all the great ideas and for coordinating our events. Thanks also to Sam Cunninghamme for selling around $3,000 of Chocolates! The BHC Fees blurb on the Forms and Admin Page shows where all the $$ go and outlines why fundraising is so important to our club (and in keeping our fees down). |
