OAMPS laser insurance provide basic medical insurance for all Hockey Queensland registered players.

All injuries (during training and games) should be reported to IHA, using the relevant forms and please let Bellbowrie’s secretary know as soon as possible after the match / training session

Returning Players

· Complete BHC rego form and medical profile form in hard copy/electronic copy and hand/email to Trisha Harley (BHC registrar)

· Instead of completing a hard copy of the IHA rego form please confirm your Hockeynet details online using the username and password that Ipswich Hockey emailed to you earlier this month.  If you no longer have these details please email Trisha Harley (BHC registrar) who will provide you with your username and password.  All returning players must check and confirm their hockeynet details.

· Pay the relevant Fee (or Fee Deposit) in accordance with BHC’s 2012 Fee Sheet (ask how you can reduce your fees by Volunteering to help out at one of our 2012 Events and / or participating in fundraising).

· Players in senior grades—please review the Senior Selection Policy to assist with managing expectations.

New Players joining BHC in 2012

· Complete BHC rego form and medical profile form in hard copy/electronic copy and hand/email to Trisha Harley (BHC registrar)

Hook In2 Hockey Players (new or returning players)

· All Hook In2Hockey Players (regardless of whether you’re new or returning) must complete the IHA Hin2Hockey Registration form in hard copy/electronic copy and hand/email to Trisha Harley (BHC registrar)

· Pay the relevant Fee (or Fee Deposit) in accordance with BHC’s 2012 Fee Sheet (ask how you can reduce your fees by Volunteering to help out at one of our 2012 Events and / or participating in fundraising).

Senior Player
Selection Policy

Players applying to be selected to a team within BHC (particularly A and Reserve grades) will be required to make every effort to comply with this policy, along with the relevant fee & Volunteer schedules and codes of conduct.

Junior Team
Selection Handbook

Provides a framework for selection and development of junior players and addresses large player numbers in teams, player selection when more than one BHC team is entered into a junior grade, subbing into higher grades etc.

Where more than one team is fielded in each junior grade selections will be made to attempt to produce teams of an even ability level.  Players can request to play in the same team as their close friends, however priority will be given to the creation of even teams.

Grievance Procedures

BHC, and all its members, is bound by the Hockey Australia Member Protection Policies and guidelines.

If you have a complaint, please try to sort it out with the person/people involved.  If you feel you are unable to do this, refer to the step by step process outlined in the HA member protection policy (Attachment C1)

Coach / Manager guidelines

To help build (and preserve) BHC club values and culture, and to protect and assist our coaches and managers, BHC’s Management Committee delivers coach / manager induction sessions.  Expectations of a volunteer coach are outlined on the ASC website

BHC’s Rules of Association

The Associations Incorporations Act 1981 requires all clubs like BHC to have rules that guide the running of our club.  All BHC officials, particularly Committee members, should be aware of the requirements
